@FluidEscence@fwoof.space @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox I cannot stand the ableton one. At least it's default. Mason showed it to me. it pisses me off.

@cordova5029 @FluidEscence@fwoof.space @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox For me the absolute worse default metronomes are Reaper's (it's the wrong way round), and Mac GarageBand's (it's uncomfortable on headphones).

@KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @FreakyFwoof I use the VL-tone 1 drum sounds for my Reaper metronome, because I'm weird.

@BorrisInABox @cordova5029 @FluidEscence@fwoof.space @FreakyFwoof At the minute I use Ableton's but I'm thinking of setting it to Sonar's.

@KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @BorrisInABox Reaper's the wrong way just to be contrary. It's not cute, delete...

@FreakyFwoof @KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] But, but... doesn't down beat mean down in pitch?

Quiet public

@KaraLG84 I'm glad it's not just me (well, and my son) that feels the REAPER default metronome is the wrong way around. It's just not okay. @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox

@jcsteh Yeah, that was one of the very first things I changed in Reaper when I knew how. @KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @FreakyFwoof

@jcsteh @KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox what means the wrong way around? i can't imagine

@svenja In 4/4, beat 1 is a lower pitch/frequency than beats 2, 3 and 4. @KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence [fwoof.space] @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox

@jcsteh You cannot hear it in a mix! I'm using the Yamaha PSR one at the moment, pillaged from some soundfont or other. It actually caused some very bad resampling issues one time when I was using ASIO or something, it sounded like ZOH or maybe linear, so I had to resample it. @KaraLG84 @cordova5029 @FluidEscence@fwoof.space @FreakyFwoof @BorrisInABox

@x0 To be fair, while I'd probably find default metronomes in some other DAWs easier to hear in a loud mix, I would also find them very distracting. It's a tricky balance.
