Aaron<p>PSA for NT folks:</p><p>If someone asks you to clarify your language, and you refuse because you think everyone else understood you, I have two points to make:</p><p>1. You are probably wrong and should be glad that at least one person bothered to speak up about it.</p><p>2. Even if you're right about other folks understanding you, the odds are not small that the person you just shut down arbitrarily is the autistic person in the group. We use words differently, which means we need more words to communicate effectively in either direction. You may not intend to, but you are effectively punishing that person for being different.
