Re last: Vote for the Carol of the Bells this year. Thus you will express your support to Ukraine in her war where she struggles to protect herself against russian terrorist federation and its hordes of orcs.
If someone doesn't know, Carol of the Bells, better known as Shchedryk (Щедрик), was brought to the United States by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych. It's a very famous tune in Ukraine and its origins are very ancient, it announces the future end of winter and spring coming.

So far, the mushroom crowd have voted for 199 holiday songs to be played on our #countdown. Only trouble is, we're just going to play the top 100. That means your vote could make all the difference to what people hear. Be sure to vote for your top 10 holidays songs. Want a particular song to rank highly? That's fine! Go ahead and tell your friends, colleagues, family and even enemies to vote. Voting is simple and #accessible. http://MushroomFm.com/countdown2022 #MushroomFM

What's the most accessible tool for recording a screencast video on Windows? That is, video from my screen (not me) and audio from both me and my computer. Ideally as easy as screen sharing in Zoom, but recorded to a local video. Thanks!

can one run within a VMWare-based Windows virtual machine on a windows 10 host? I know nested virtualization is a thing, but is able to make use of that?

⚡️The famous Ukrainian carol 'Shchedryk,' also known as 'Carol of the Bells,' was performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Dec. 4.

The carol had its first performance at Carnegie hall 100 years ago, in 1922.

The concert included the Shchedryk Children’s Choir from Kyiv.

delivered by a synth is equivalent to casting a robot in place of a human actor because it's less expensive & more films can be produced. That's not how art works, and it shouldn't be how operates in the arts. Join this Audio discussion. twitter.com/nefmatoli/status/1

Random observation: I communicate with people from lots of different language backgrounds, and I live in Germany. What can I say? If your language features final consonant devoicing (German, Russian etc.), voicing final consonants in languages that don't exhibit this trait (English, French, Swedish, Ukrainian etc.) is one of the most difficult things to do for non-native speakers. It's even more surprising for me because, say, German has a [b] sound, but you'll almost never hear it at the end of English words like web, job, grab, — pronounced by Germans. The same goes for Russian speakers.

Long ChatGPT post

Wow. I mean... I suck at lyrics. Why bother when the bot can mostly do it better?
Me:
Write me a poem which rhymes about a man who has regular insomnia. Talk about the frustration this creates, the continual exhaustion and the melancholy it can sometimes cause, despite every struggle and attempt to fix it.
#ChatGPT:
A man with regular insomnia,
A curse that's hard to bear,
Each night he tosses and he turns,
A never-ending nightmare.
He tries to count sheep, to calm his mind,
But nothing seems to work,
His thoughts just race, a million miles,
As he lies there in the dark.
The frustration builds, the anger grows,
As exhaustion takes its toll,
He's weary, worn, and oh so tired,
But sleep eludes his soul.
Despite his struggles, his valiant fight,
To fix this cursed affliction,
His eyes remain wide open,
A prisoner of insomnia's addiction.
The melancholy sets in, a heavy weight,
That pulls him down each day,
He longs for rest, a peaceful night,
But it's a dream that seems so far away.
So here he lies, a man in pain,
Trapped in this endless cycle,
His only hope a fleeting dream,
Of a night of sweet, serene tranquility.

After a good long break I am ready to get back into the saddle and I am looking for my next role. While I have a few ongoing conversations, hints are very welcome. I am looking for either high impact people management roles or deeply technical IC roles. Remote is a requirement.
