Dumb programming joke... if it's even a joke
Oh, people don't like the kingdom of nouns? Time to invent a programming language that's literally all nouns. Usage of anything other than nouns will be a compiler error.

@dhivael yes. If your class doesn't have "Manager" or "Factory" in the name it's rejected. If your method doesn't start with Do it's rejected. If you do not use Factories at all in your program it will be rejected. In fact, if you don't have at least one ManagerFactoryManager your program has a 50 percent chance of deleting a source file at random.

of course the compiler doesn't compile to machine code directly. instead it compiles to ocaml because that's so much easier to analyze!

@dhivael hmmm... what if we compile to Windows batch scripts instead?
Dumb programming joke... if it's even a joke
that would somewhat undermine the dissonance of having a functional intermediate, but would be sufficiently absurd to definitely make this new language the one worthy successor to cobol

@dhivael we could do multiple passes ;) extreme OOP to procedural to functional. It'll be wonderful!
Dumb programming joke... if it's even a joke
it'll definitely need a 6502 assembly intermediate to appease all the old guys with misguided 80s nostalgia. but then we're just about set!
Dumb programming joke... if it's even a joke
@dhivael that sounds so wonderfully awful that I almost want to try making it 😂

can recommend haskell for language prototyping btw

@talon
so, like, enterprise java
