Found a me-capable way of refining ringtones! Using Audacious, I play the song until I find a good start and end time, like 0:32 to 1:04. Then, I use FFMPEG, and play part of a song, changing the time slightly, like 00:00:32.5 to 00:00:32.6. I do that until I find the exact spot I want to start with. Then I have FFMPEG make the ringtone. Commands:
ffplay -i "/Music/AI songs/a new beginning 2 (Cover) (Remastered).mp3" -ss 00:00:32
Plays from a position.
ffmpeg -i "/Music/AI songs/a new beginning 2 (Cover) (Remastered).mp3" -ss 00:00:32.6 -to 00:01:04 -c copy "../ringtones/a_new_beginning_ringtone.mp3"
Makes the ringtone.
I really need to find the new selection and new fangled commands for Audacity. Or take a deep breath, and breathe in more, and more, and more, and learn Reaper.
I made a kickass ringtone and notification sound for my hubby's new phone last weekend, then felt left out, so I made myself a new ringtone too. Most of the instruments are from Project SAM's Swing!, but the prominent sound in the second half is my accordina.
I’ve been taking it easy on the scares… let’s fix that. #pooks #dadjokes #ringtone #couplegoals #YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WMD9EYuAhU
I released an album of ringtone. Again. For you to be ashamed whenever your smartphone is emeting noises
I’m trying to transfer a new #ringtone which I created to my #iPhone. However, I am unable to figure out how to transfer it using GarageBand. I was going to try to upload it to OneDrive, but it won’t transfer. Also, despite my the format being #m4r, as it should be, my Mac sees it as an m4a mpeg. Has anyone else seen this and know of a way to rectify it?
@selzero@syzito.xyz Yeah. To Love You More by #CelineDion. Was the #ringtone of my mom's old Samsung, and I liked hearing the #violin intro so much that I adopted it into my phone as well

Back in 2006, I made a cover version of the ring of death tune from the 2003 Japanese horror flick, One Missed Call (着信アリ Chakushin Ari), composed by Koji Endo. I managed to dig up some old files and found the ringtone version while the other one is a Hardstyle/Hard Trance version. Now 15 years later, it's available on modern platforms!

@retronianne [tech.lgbt] My event/system tones are Mac bootup, shutdown, alert chimes from across the decades.
But specific people get stingers of soundtracks, like Halloween, UFO, Battle without Honor or Humanity from Kill Bill, Je Ne Regrette Rien remixes from Inception, or "Hey Listen" from Zelda Ocarina of Time.
I found the key was to have rising initial notes, not a sudden noise.

No, I’m not really sure why I thought about reimagining that old #Nokia #Ringtone either. It just… Happened. https://youtu.be/4DjsCwH5YLI
What does your #ringtone sound like (more or less)?

For anyone who hasn't changed their ringtone in a million years or has completely abandoned the idea of those: the Austrian National Forestry department puts up the sounds of all of the beautiful nature that can be encountered within the Austrian forests in the form of mp3 ringtones.
Included is everything from common birds to bears and wolves.

I’ve just rescued this #ringtone off of my #Motorola #MotoG2 from 2014.
It’s that phone’s default ringtone of that phone and one of the best I’ve ever had. I love it, because it’s the perfect mix between goofy, catchy and electronic.
Kinda sad that I had to grab it from the headphone jack because its file lives in some non user-accessible storage, but I’ve used high quality audio equipment and the recording sounds pretty nice.
@BasicAppleGuy wow what an "Opening" #ringtone #apple #piano
