16.4 Has to be the worst beta cycle I’ve seen from Apple in ages. Even the initial 16 beta wasn’t as bad. There was a point where Eloquence couldn't say it’s own name, voiceover will just randomly die when you try to pause speech, or go to the home screen, and you have to do the accessibility shortcut multiple times to get it back, AirPods will randomly disconnect and reconnect, sometimes only making one die, which can totally throw you off if you’re walking around with transparency on, two finger double tap to play and pause media will freeze voiceover for a number of seconds, etc. Feedbacking since beta one has gotten me, you guessed it, nowhere. And they asked why I bought a Pixel...

@TheQuinbox
I've noticed the trend of more accessibility bugs in new betas as well.

I've also been hearing more and more from people who've tried to report problems about how Apple seems to be deemphasizing their Accessibility commitment in general (not just blind/VI accessibility) especially when it comes to the long term stability of what they've built VS the good PR of new access feature releases.

It's to the point now where some of the techs are all but outright admitting it when you call in about long unaddressed issues; something I've experienced my self first hand.

I wonder if this is as a result of belt tightening do to inflation, investor pressure, or something else entirely.

@Superfreq @TheQuinbox It's probably a little bit of both. Plus the fact that you can't market stability the way you can feature releases. Enshitification is bound to happen one way or another when companies are focused on making Wallstreet happy - which is of course a joke because Wallstreet is never happy.
