Wow that's some garbage. I'm really happy I'm mainly an apple guy right now.

@pitermach Ahem. Just an admin-hat-half-on reminder that, if at all possible, you should post any Twitter crossposts as unlisted, as per the rules:
"3. Be Active
Cross posting is only allowed if you regularly check your account here and interact with notifications. Please set cross posts to unlisted or stricter."
@Mayana I check Masto every few hours and have notifications turned on for both phone and computers, I have crossposting on for convenience and for the Twitter side the only thing I repost is tweets or quotes that have a relevant comment. I think those comments and the things I link to are a big enough part of what I post that I'd like people to see them if they look at my profile, but if you still think I should change this or if this could get our instance to be blocked because some people really hate seeing anything twitter that much then I'll change it.
@pitermach "I think those comments and the things I link to are a big enough part of what I post that I'd like people to see them if they look at my profile,"
And they will still be able to. Unlisted toots show up on your profile just fine. All that would change is that they would no longer show up in the local and federated timeline. People who didn't come here because they didn't want to be on Twitter, or who otherwise like your taste in content, will still be able to engage with them without any problems.
@pitermach Thank you! 🙂
This just applies to the RTs, mind you (if you can set up your crossposter like that). You are still very much encouraged to post on public otherwise.
A fun, happy little Mastodon/Hometown instance. Join us by the fire and have awesome discussions about things, stuff and everything in between! Admins: @Talon and @Mayana.
