I see there are moves being made to scrap changing the clocks back 1 hour. I’m old enough to remember when this was trialed back in the 1960s. It was scrapped because of the hugely increased risk to pedestrians and schoolchildren who had to go to work/school in the dark. Unfortunately, this increased danger was not offset by safer conditions at the end of the day.

The safest way would be to adjust our activities based on daylight and weather.
When its too cold to go out, too wet, too dark, people just would stay home. And actually know their families.
Which can be both good and bad.
And won't happen as long as money is required for homes. And all they require.
@UnCoveredMyths I agree, but altering school times would mean parents would need their employers to also alter work shift times. Ideally, we should all adjust, but I can’t see that happening in our current system.
