#nespresso vertuo query. Greetings everyone. I am wondering if anybody has looked at the Nespresso vertuo lattissima machine? I do not know how long this machine has been available in the United States and the UK however, it has only been in Australia for about three weeks as far as I know. This machine has buttons for producing different coffees such as latte espresso and others plus it also comes with a milk jug which allows you to Froth the milk and the machine does it all for you. It takes the vertuo Nespresso pods and I am wondering if anybody has played with these machines or owns one and if so, how is this machine from a blindness perspective? Thank you to anyone who may be able to assist.
@scottrut Hi Scott. I have the original Lattissima 1, which was designed for the original pods, and have found it very good. I bought it because it was one of the few that still had decent buttons and a steamer type milk frother. I'd be interested in any info you're able to find out. I assume the buttons just govern the amount of milk, since the virtuo machines read the barcode off the pod to determine the coffee shot.
@DamoMcMorrow On the new machine mentioned in my initial post, there is a button from my understanding for the different coffee types. The milk jug that sits on this machine will do what it has to do and it’ll actually steam the milk and add the milk into your coffee at the same time so you do not have to pull the milk in from the external milk frother I have yet to touch one of these machines so when I do, I will let you know more details.
@scottrut Cheers. It sounds very much like the Virtuo equivalent of the machine I have.
@DamoMcMorrow For those interested in my coffee machine demo I am now uploading it and it’ll be in a separate post I’m keen to hear peoples comments.
@scottrut Thanks for that. Great demo. It's a lot quieter than the Virtuo Pop isn't it. I like the idea of being able to make a bigger cup with those machines than you can with the original.
@DamoMcMorrow Exactly right. The new machine that I mentioned here yesterday even has a 535 mil sharing pot sold separately and you can share one pot between 3 to 4 people. That is the $749 machine that I mentioned yesterday.
