Question for any #blind folks who use a Shadow PC in the cloud. There's an outside chance my income could improve somewhat, and if it does, I'm considering getting one for myself. Before I do, though, I need to know how accessible the clients are.
@TwoThousandStu They are workable, but that's about it. iOS is the best, with Windows and Linux a close second.
@fireborn I won't be able to do iOS, as I have no adapters or controllers that can work with it. Might have to see if my bluetooth is finally willing to work. I can definitely do Windows though.
@TwoThousandStu Will demo the windows client. Unfortunately the quick menu for enabling microphone passthrough etc isn't accessible, and it's not possible without hitting ctrl alt delete and then opening task manager to get focus back out of the shadow window.
@fireborn @TwoThousandStu Can't connect USB either or copy/paste anything, so the only way for me to get files to the shadow is to use a cloud shared folder.
@x0 @TwoThousandStu there's that too. I actually forgot about this limitation.
@fireborn @TwoThousandStu Given this and the fact I wasn't really using it, I just canceled mine. Not worth it IMO. My primary use case would be running something that needs a bigger GPU.
@TwoThousandStu @x0 It can be done, but you need sighted help to do it.
